Arctic Fox
The Arctic Fox can be found throughtout the Arctic region. Their diet consists of small mammals such as Lemmings and Voles, also birds and their eggs. They will also sometimes scavenge on dead animals and they eat the Polar Bear's leftovers. They will also eat berries. Arctic Foxes live in dens that they built themselves. The dens are usually located on hills or on the sides of river banks. The dens alsousually have multiple enterances and exits.
The Arctic Fox measues to be 3 to 3.5 feet from head to tail. They range from 6 to 9 pounds. Their paws, fur, short ears and bodies, and their bushy tail to wrap around them is to keep them warm from the Arctic like weather.
Their mating season usually occurs in the spring and their pregnancy last 7 to 8 weeks. Arctic Foxes usually give birth to 6 to 8 kits.
