Arctic Hare
The Arctic Hare is located in northern Canada and Greenland. Their diet consists of buds, berries, twigs, mosses, woody plants, and other vegetation they can find. They can be found in various areas in the Tundra. They sometimes make snow shelters tohelp them get away from the cold. The average length for an Arctic Hare is 20 to 26 inches. They usually weigh between 8 and 14 pounds. They have a white coat of fur in the winter and a blue-gray or brown-gray coat in the summer. Their large hind feet allow them to move very quickly. Their claws allow them to dig in the snow for food.
Arctic Hares' mating season is in early spring and the females give birth in June or early July.
