Polar Bear
Polar Bears can be found in northern Canada,Alaska, Russia, Norway, and various areas of Greenland. Polar Bears mostly eat Seals. They will also eat walruses and carcases of dead Whales. Polar Bears are often located near water and ice because thats where their pray lives. They live in dens where they sleep and the females give birth. They do not enter true hibernation but whenthe females are pregnant they can go into a deep sleep, slowing their heat rate.
Polar Bears are among the largest mammals on earth. A male Polar Bear weighs between 700 and 1400 pounds and can be 8 to 10 feet tall. Female Polar Bears can weigh from 350 to 700 pounds. Polar Bears have a white coat but the hairs are clear. Their skin is the color black. Polar Bears have short ears to minimize heat loss.
The mating season is in the spring and they usually give birth to two cubs in the winter.
